1. Where is the final assembly point for Honda Civic coupes sold in the US?
(Dealer was clueless on this one.)
2. How long should I wait to change the oil the first time. Is there a
problem with changing it at 1,000 miles or should I wait untill 5,000 miles?
thank you
Honda says wait on their new cars for the last few years. If your has a
service light wait for it as it says in the manual.

1. It'll tell you on the sales tag that was affixed inside your window.
My 06 Si was assembled in Canada.
2. You should wait until the maintenance minder tells you to change it.
It should be clearly outlined in your manual.

East Liberty, Ohio, or Alliston, Ontario Canada.
The former has a VIN beginning with "1", the latter witha "2".
If the VIN starts with "J", the car was assemblewd in Japan.

Change it when the Maintenance Minder says to. Do NOT make the first change
too soon!
Thereafter you may change the oil as early as you wish.

My 2007 Accord manual says to wait until the maintenance minder tells you to
change the oil. In the small print it also says not to go beyond one year.
Hope this helps.
