Folks,
My son has a 95 Sonata. The check engine light came on and has been on for
3 days. I have checked all of the fluids and some minor electrical stuff. I
decided to pull the battery to reset the computer and to see if the engine
light would go off. Well the light did go off...and now the radio says
"code" and I cannot get the clock (which is separate from the radio) to set.
Anyone have a sequence or a way to get the code to activate the radio
again??

I sure would appreciate any help!

If someone didn't write the code down when you got the car, you are screwed.

The clock is probably broken.  The radio, however is another story.  I'm
sending you an e-mail about the radio.

I'm not certain about your car, but my '94 Exel had a sticker on the
left side of the glove compartment that had the radio code on it. I
found this out by contacting Hyundai, after a dealer quoted me $50 to
reset it.

Called Hyundai and was able to get the code. I am good to go. Cannot set the
clock though??? the obvious buttons do not work.

Gotta love it!

Thanks for all of the help!

Glad that you were able to get the radio reset.  On my last
Hyundai the clock buttons were always hard to work and
before I traded it in quit altogether.

If you disconnect the battery and reconnect it at 1:00 the
time will be correct if it works like mine did.  Not very
convenient but if the clock not being correct is annoying
enough might be something to consider.
