Removal of stereo

Hi, I have a Lantra 97 (R reg) (I live in the UK) and would like to know if
it's possible to replace the stereo with a cd player/radio.  Can you remove
and replace it yourself, or is it necessary to go to a garage?  Many thanks.

You can probably do it yourself fairly easily if you have an installation
kit.
