I drained the auto transmission since I was replacing the axles, and was not
sure how many US Quarts to put in. I suspect that the 7 quarts listed in the
manual pertains to the dry filling quantity.  Is it about 3?  It looks about
full with only that many quarts. I would like to be close before I start
it..... I assume that a little will go down when I run it through the gears?

TIA

Three to four would be about normal.  Be sure to use only SP-III ATF, and
check the fluid level running in neutral.
