Disappointing. I hope this is not the final version. Of course, most of us
don't drive to the limit every day. When he spoke of high speeds, did he
mean cruising at 70 on the interstate or pushing over 100?

This is one of those hard things to tell just from the vid because you
don't get a feel for when it was shot or if that was the final vehicle
or what. Plus there's always gonna be differences between the foreign
version and what we get here. This was mentioned in the vid (8 cyl.
versus 6 cyl, ZF transmission, etc.). Still, so far it looks like a
sleek Mercedes from a couple years ago. At least the front looks very
borrowed to me. The reviewer is correct to say that this is Hyundai's
*first* attempt to make a rear-wheel drive car and for the price
point, you can't realistically be expecting Mercedes / Lexus class
performance from $30k worth of car. Time will tell.

Good find TCW.
Seems like an honest review.
Bear in mind, however that the V6 and V8 are different animals. So are
the Asian and US models.

Yep, there will be differences in foreign and domestic models so what
is being said here may change when it is sold in US markets. We'll
have to wait and see I guess. I'm curious who the guy was and what, if
any, qualifications he had with reviewing the car? Since the model is
not officially out, I wonder if it was like the Korean version of Car
& Driver or some such similar TV show.

No, I don't think so. Toyota is Japanese and he was speaking Korean.
