Power steering fluid on one of my 07 Sante Fe's is a little low. Checked
the owner's manual and only thing I can find is that it takes PSF-4 type
fluid.
Went to Auto Zone today and none of the power steering fluid bottles have
any numbers on them. Only thing I see is a consistent "Not recommended for
Honda vehicles".
I'm assuming that the fluid they have is OK for my Hyundai, but need some
reassurance that I am putting in the right stuff. Replys are appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim
PS How does the fluid disappear anyway? Have never had to add fluid to any
of my vehicles over the past 40 years.

Jim;
"PSF4" (Power Steering Fluid - 4) is a proprietary brand of Hyundai.
I have yet to find any market brand that is equivalent.
Hyundai only recommends their fluid (as you would know) for their power
steering and transmission (Diamond SPF-3).
If I was in your shoes, I would wait until Monday and get some fluid from
the local dealerships.
For more info on your Hyundai product, could I suggest
www.hyundai-forums.com and www.hmaservice.com
The first one is info based on worldwide owners, the second one is more of
the technical form provided by Hyundai America.
Both offers free account.

Most power steering fluid is rather generic. My opinion is that PSF-4 i
simply Hyundai's designation for something you can get elsewhere. Yo
should be okay to add regular power steering fluid to this car. (Olde
Hyundai products use Dexron.)
As far as the level issue, take it in and report that you had to ad
fluid. I've seen several steering racks on newer vehicles leaking flui
into the rack boots
