I can't for the life of me figure out how to get my calendar correct in
my '02 Santa Fe. It appears to change days sometime in the afternoon. It
does not appear to be synchronized with the clock. The owner's manual is
not much help, unless I'm just missing something. Anyone have
instructions on how to get my calendar to change days at midnight?

Thanks,

Wade

there's a service bulletin on it. 03-90-019
the gist of it is
DESCRIPTION

The optional calendar on the overhead console must be set to the
correct time to ensure the date will change at midnight. If the
internal clock is not properly set, the date may change at an
incorrect time each day.

When the calendar is first powered up, the calendar will be set at
23:00 December 1, 2001 (11:00 PM). This TSB describes how to set both
the internal time and the date in the calendar.

The internal clock and calendar must be set before the vehicle is
delivered to the customer.

PROCEDURE
First, set the internal clock of the digital calendar.

Press and hold the "M" button for at least 3 seconds until the digits
for the HOUR blink.

Use the UP or DOWN button to adjust the hour according to military
time (example: 3 = 3AM, 15 = 3PM).

Press the "M" button to set the MINUTES and then press the UP or DOWN
button to adjust the minutes.

Press the "M" button when finished.

Next, set the date of the digital calendar.

Press the "M" button to display a blinking YEAR, use the UP or DOWN
button to adjust the year.

Press the "M" button again to display a blinking MONTH, use the UP or
DOWN button to adjust the MONTH.

Press the "M" button again to display a blinking DAY, use the UP or
DOWN button to adjust the DAY.

Press the "M" button once again when finished.

sounds like your clock is 12 hours out.

On March 3rd, my calendar thought is was FEB 32, 2004.  I'm sure the
leap thing screwed it up, but come on, FEB 32.

Mine only said Feb 31st, which is not as insane as yours, but still
pretty ridiculous.

Yesterday the Missus' Santa Fe was up to FEB 40.

We're not going to mess with it just to see what happens when it gets to the
99th and then has to add another day.

My guess is that the whole friggin station wagon will just explode in the
driveway at the stroke of midnight.

LOL. And to think that I was missing all this fun, didn't even know
there was a calendar in the first place, still haven't checked mine at
all, who needs a calendar in the car when I can just glance at my watch?

I rarely drive around in my car wondering what day it is.

You obviously don't have a two year old. Sometimes I drive around in my
car wondering where my car is.

Well, at times I wonder where the closes correction facility for minors
is, but even after this thread I haven't even remembered to check for
the calendar. :)
