Mileage and maintenance?

About 2 or so months ago I had 60,000 mile maintenance on my 2001
Hyundai Accent GL. This included the transmission and all belts
(timing also).

Very shortly there after I noticed my mil;age going to pot. I'm
getting roughly half the mileage I was before the mainteance.

I'm wondering what's going on, does anyone have any ideas?

Did the performance change?  Any gas odor?

No to both.

Was this service done at a Hyundai dealership?

I don't remember exactly, but the timeing belt, well all belts were
done. I also, had the transmission fluid and oil changed the same day
(elsewhere.) The only thing really that wasn't done were the plugs.

I'm a real stickler about using only genuine Hyundai A/T tranny fluid.  Most
of the people that come into this group whining about Hyundai transmissions
have had their fluid changed by some Joe Sixpack down at the corner
transmission shop who may have used Dexron or, for all they know, Ford
Type-F fluid.  If you've had the wrong fluid installed in your tranny, that
could most definitely affect your mileage.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to change the plugs.  They're easy to do and need
to be changed every 30K miles according to the owners manual.

Why don't you take it back to the dealer? They screwed up something.
