Try getting a second opinion from another dealer, perhaps that dealer will see it
different.

I would have to get my car towed across town. Which wouldnt be cheap. And
unfortunately, all dealers in town have the same regional rep. This
regional rep is the one who ultimitaly decided to deny my warranty claim.

I bet that they are told to look at the temperature gauge in cases like
these, because it gives Hyundai an "out". I seem to be at their mercy here
and I am stuck having to trust their judgement. No matter what is truly
wrong with my engine, they can claim the temperature gauge and be off the
hook.

I am not saying that they are lying to me about all of this, but it has
certainly worked out quite well for them.
