according to my book, your rear diff should have the c clip on the
inner end of the axel, you must remove the rear diff cover, remove
the pinion shaft (a small bolt holds it in place), and then push the
axel in towards the diff to remove the c clip, then the axel will
come right out of the housing. then you will need your slide hammer
to remove the torrington type (caged roller) bearing that is pressed
in to the housing. note: the axel itself serves as the inner
bearing race, so inspect it for pits or other damage that may cause a
new bearing to fail. the axel on mine had scoring and pits on it.
rather than replace the axel, i purchased an extended bearing. it
allows the bearing to ride on the axel in a slightly different spot,
so that you have a whole new bearing race. hope that this helps...

there is no bolt holding the pin between my axles ends ...it has a role
pin holding it and the ring gear covers the ends and in the way even if
you could get the pin out of the steel pin between the gears.. theres no
c clips on the axles either..its not a regular type this rearend has a
extra gear bolted to the back of the ring gear that works a sensor and
this offsets the position of the ring gear and blocks the removal of the
pin...this kind apears to be held in like the amigo but i removed the
end plate and the slide hamer would not bring it out...it might be stuck
i dont know .......i have the haynes isuzu
book and it is wrong in a couple places. they have the amigo and
rodeo axle info crossed..this thing even has disc breaks on the rear and
shoe break also on rear for emergency break..... but i sure apreciate
you tryin to help....if you have a 1996 isuzu with rear end that has a
wire comeing out the top and the cover is slightly offset then yous is
like mine ....thanks again
