Hi all,

2001 X-type 3.0ltr Sport Auto

With the recent bad weather I have found myself with a wet boot, about 3
inches of water in the spare wheel recess. I have booked in for a 40k
service (?290.00, outrageous), when I mentioned the wet boot issue the
receptionist immediatly diagnosed that the problem would be a worn boot
seal, rhymed off the price etc.etc.  I also mentioned that when using the
remote key fob and after pressing it a minimum of 2-3 times that the
passenger door was not unlocking. The response was that I require a latch at
a cost of approx. ?94.00 plus labour.

What concerns me most is that the dealer has not as yet examined the above
faults to identify the problem. So, how can they manage to do this over the
phone????  The door issue could possibly be resolved with some grease or
oil.....

Regards

Bobby

Well all of this goes back to my previous entries of old - Jaguar do not
deserve to stay in business if they are treating a customer like this - This
person pays their mortgage !!!

Another quality product from Ford/Jaguar !!!

They can't, of course, so don't hold your breath thinking they will
solve either problem.
