Stu,

I cant wait to see your final pics and what fruition your efforts
bring.

Cheers!
Blake

BTW - I do speak foreign; I have been a student of the German tongue
for 2 years now. Unfortunately a German can read what I wrote and
understand me. But they will surely know right away that I am writing
German sentences as an English speaker would.

Up by the radiator is the heater control valve. Clean the connector and
inspect it for corrosion. Replace control valve if problems persist.

I pity anyone with an early Ford type, S Type.

The people I know of who had one, have either dumped it or upgraded it.

They make a "Leyland" XJ6 look as reliable as a Rolls Royce :-)

The sorst as-pect is that, just like XJ40, they knew all of the problems
before launch. In the case of XJ40 the issues were known, but misrepresented
by Jim Randle and Engineering. In the case of S-Type, they were well known
and the Jaguar engineering group were prohibited from doing anything about
them. Hell, before the damn S-Type was launched, the 2002 MY interior
facelft and the ZF transmission upgrades were already in the plan! Wjat a
friggin' fiasco, no wonder Ford's bonds are junk, and their market share is
at 1928 levels.
