Ah ha,
Thanx Blake, had the Sov on the ramp and 'tis the output bearings as you
say.
So, more help required if you have the time please.
Do these bearings fail big style in short order or can it wait a few weeks?
I was gonna replace the front dampers this weekend but should the diff get
priority?
How do the bearings come out? Anything I should know about particularly?
Seems to me that 4 bolts gets the driveshaft off and then 4 torx bolts gets
a cover off. Is it that easy?
Your help is very welcome

Yes it is that simple, just be careful to make sure the shims stay were
you have found them. As for the bearing, you can save yourself some
cash if you get them at a local bearing house. Its a common bearing.
If you have a press and a bearing spiltter its a straight forward task,
otherwise you'll need to take it to someone to do it for you.

Cheers man,
Thanx for the help and advice,
The local garage gives me the keys to go and play with all their kit so now
I know it's not a horrid job I can crack on with it.
I didn't want to get the Sov on a ramp and still have it stuck there on
Monday morning when they're expecting to earn money on it.
