Hi all

Can anyone tell me what CD-changer I need for my 1993, XJ40, 4.0 litre
sports?

It has the CD button on the stereo and a round connector in the boot.
I would like to go for something like an Alpine CHA-S634 (this plays
MP3's also), which lists as being compatible, but according to the WEB
site of the seller is not.

Thanks

You're right: The "Jaguar" stereo is really from Alpine. But beware:
Only changers that are explicitly marked as compatible are compatible.
They may have the same connectors but rely on different software
protocols for communication between the control unit and the changer. I
don't think you'd find a model that's capable of reading MP3-CD's *and*
talking to the 1994 stereo.
