Does anyone know of a simpler way of replacing cigar lighter bulb (s),

You may be able to get at it through the storage box between the seats
(just undo the four screws you can see when you open it up).
Otherwise, removing the ski-slope really isn't a big or scary job, you
just have to gently pull the trim up from around the gear lever (it is a
friction fit with plastic posts on each corner going into holes beneath
- so make sure you pull it up evenly. Also, if you have a leather-look
surround, the plastic bit around the cruise/sport buttons can be pulled
up first). Then there are four nuts holding another bit of plastic trim
around the gear selector. Pull of that trim and the ski-slope pops out.
It's only a couple of minutes of a job, with almost no potential for
problems as long as you are careful pulling up the trim.
