Rattle front end 2004 x type

Having quite a problem with a thud type intermittant rattle from the front
driver's side. I've heard it, a service manager at a local ford dealer has
but the jag service said that they did not hear anything other than usual
noise. Anyone had this problem?

Jag 2004 xtype 3.0 with nav.

If the X-Type is built like other Jags -- then you may have disintegration
of the rubber on the front shock mount -- although 2 years is TERRIBLY
soon!!
