JTIS CD issue

Hi - please can anyone help?  I've acquired the JTIS CD and installed
it - I use XP sp2 - I can load it OK but whenever I select one of the
options buttons, I get the dreaded "has encountered an error and needs
to close" message.  Which means I can't get into anything useful.  I've
reinstalled it but to no effect.  Has anyone ever encountered this?
Thanks in advance.

For the benefit of anyone who looked at this - I solved it myself.
Install Microsoft Data Access Objects from the \DAO\disk1 directory on
the JTIS disk (uncheck the ODBC option) and then it works.
