xjs aerial

hi my aerial on my 1987 v12 xjs goes up but wont go down , ive taken it
apart and wound it down but it only goes up with the radio not down, if i
need a new one anybody have one they like to sell thanks

I would make sure that the motor cycles before I invested in a new antenna.
This could also be symptomatic of a problem with the radio as it is the
trigger for the motor. I always use penetrating oil and a rag to clean the
mast by moving it manually to assure that there is no binding and apply a
coat of wax to seal after assuring that the amst is free. These are very
expensive units.
