I just bought a used 2004 X-Type.  It has memory seats but the owners manual
has no instructions on how to program them.  Any help please?  Thanks.

Download the 2004 owners handbook from the jag website,
http://www.ownerinfo.jaguar.com/extfree2viewjagprod/index.jsp

In the section "Before Driving" pg 68 it says

Press the M button (a chime will sound) and then within 5 seconds press
button 1,2 or 3. A double chime will sound to tell you it is stored.
