The car sometimes dies when I am stopped behind traffic light or
having slowed down to almost a halt in order to yield to others on
turns. Fuel filter was replaced a few months ago. What could this be
and how do I go about troubleshooting it?

Regards
Amin

It's NOT the fuel filter, if the filter were clogged the car would not
climb hills or accelerate - both conditions that require maximum fuel
flow.

Suggest you look at the fuel pump relay and / or the fuel pump itself.
The relay is a switch for the electric pump and relays get tired over
the years. The pump can be tested for output volume and pressure. I
suspect the relay.
