Well, this was the first weekend in 6 weeks I wasn't working and the weather
in Chicago warmed up to 40 yesterday, so I pulled the XKR out of storage and
went for a spin. It was great after driving our old mini van around for two
months! Not quite like having the top down on a sunny summer day, but what
a break!
I've stored it in a self storage locker with no special preparation other
than plastic on the floor and a couple old sheets over the car. Battery
needed a boost, and tires had flat spots which worked out after about 5 to
10 minutes - and it runs great. None of the "memory" settings needed to be
reset, so I guess the battery wasn't totally out but wouldn't start the car
without a boost. Good thing I didn't back it into the locker!
Another nice day today, then snow and sleet tonight - so I guess she goes
back in for another few weeks but spring time is coming.

When its time, put an deep cycle Optima battery in. They last longer whilst
in storage.
