   Hi guy's ,
I'm new to this site and would like to ask a question.  I'm now with my
third Cherokee, a "91 Pioneer" that has started to give me a problem in
the fuel area.
Where is the  ECM  located on this years cherokee ??   A friend tells
me that he thinks that it's in the kick-panel on the passenger side
front. Someone else has told me it's under or behind the glove box.
Anyone really know the answer ????
I have a Haynes repair manual for it but I've been unable to find an
exact listing for the location of it.

Any help would be great .
Thanks GTPstarter

I had a 90 Cherokee with the 4.0L from which I pulled the engine and
complete harness to install in an older CJ. The ECU was up under the dash to
the right of the steering column, mounted vertically. The harness goes
through the firewall with a rubber plug about 12 inches along the harness.
The Haynes manual is insuffucient in my opinion for any detailed diagnosis.
The factory manual is MUCH better if you can find one. Hope this helps.
