What is a good item to use for patching a 1/4 inch hole in a soft top on  a
Jeep ?   I would like something that could be "applied" as compared to
stitching.

Is there a good source on the internet ?

Thanks !!

There's this stuff called "goop" it's a glue that can be used for
anything from sneakers to... soft tops. Both my kids are careless
and have a few patches in their tops, although stitched, also
glued with goop. Find a fold where the top doesn't get exposed
to the elements, cut yourself a small patch and glue it to the outside
with this goop stuff. It's worked on my son's top for about 4 years
now without any leaks. I would recommend glue and stitch, but
the glue alone should hold it just fine. You can pick up the stuff
at Wallmart or Lowes.

I second the use of goop (clear which is house hold) there is a black it is
Automotive. but they are same ingredients just different colours I patch
from inside using a piece of similar coloured material. method is similar to
drywalling put base of goop down then press patching material into goop then
smooth let dry then on more coat of goop being sure to over coat by 1/2
inch,,, from inside u will see from outside you may see a slight shiny spot
where the hole was or nothing if you laid the roof material out properly.

Well, far be it from me to read the instructions(I *am* a guy, after
all)but the set that came with my new Replace-a-Top said to use Bondex
iron-on patchs.  They're readily available at Wally-World.  In
assorted colors, even.
