I just replaced my clutch master cylinder.  I noticed when I went to bleed
the line, that there was alot of movement.  The bleeder line moves in and
out of the bell housing by 2 inches or more.  I've never had to touch this
before, so I'm wondering if this is normal or is this a problem?  The line
from the master to the internal slave has no movement.

Thanks.

Got me.  Might try asking over in the other groups.

There is a little clip that holds the line from the line from the clutch
slave to the bleed screw on the outside of the bellhousing. Sounds like
this is missing, allows the bleed screw line to swivel back and forth by
twisting in it's fitting. Does not sound good. But to
inspect/repair/replace is to do a full clutch tear down by removing
transfer case and tranny. :(

Hi RoyJ,
The throw-0ut bearing just sits loosely on the input shaft sleeve:

cylinder's cap on air tight. Your bleeder for a four banger is on the
passenger side. I would use a pressurized bleeder and hold that air pocket
loop down while bleeding.
