I just bought a 2004 Grand Cherokke with the 4.0 engine. I have only about
1500 miles on it. I am only getting between 11-12 mpg. Mostly around town
driving with some highway. This seems low. My v8 Durango did better then
this. Anybody else with the 6 cylinder getting better milage??

I have an older 4.0, the in town mileage is pretty directly related to
the lead in my right foot.  Your engine isn't broken in yet, the
mileage should get better in several thousand miles...if you stop
trying to surprise riced up S-boxes.  On the open highway, with a
fairly steady foot, 20-21 is doable.  The new alcoholic "bush gas"
seems to get worse mileage in the regular grade, moving up to
midgrade or just putting a few gallons of premium in per fill seems
 to help a tad.
