Long story short, missing treflector piece on tail light - not covered under warranty - bought new assemby. Have new assembly and can only get part of the wirng harness free. Is there a trick to this? 97 TJ 2.5L Hi Bob, You mean, like the harness plug won't go through the hole: http://www.alvielou2001.com/p2473.jpg Take the plug off by sliding a small screwdriver inside and release each wire's barb: http://www.billhughes.com/temp/plugWireRelease.jpg Write down polarity. Think I might have done some damage to the connector. You can take the inner fender off yourself to get at it or pay dearly for that labor intensive plug in. No parts needed, just 2 hours labor eh...
