The one for 96, 97 and 98 2.5 liter ECM reprogram.
If I remember there was a discussion about repairs later or something.
My notice is postmarked 12-21-2006. I either need to sh!t or get off the pot!

I found out about mine just today, after getting the build sheet I
requested (thanks Bill!). I bought my ZJ ('96 4.0 Laredo) back in
November, and the previous owner either didn't get the notice or ignored
it. I just replaced my cat in December, so I *may* qualify for the cat
refund. Either way, I'm going to replace my front 02 sensor first, just to
see if it makes the stall-at-idle problem go away for good. That way they
can't sucker me into spending money while getting free recall service.

Check the TPS. Throttle position sensor.

And clean the idle air passage.

I just had it done last Friday on my `96 XJ. They reprogram the PCM and
inspect the cat for loose parts and rattles. The E-22 recall also covers
4.0L.
The real reason that I brought it in was that the shift selector switch
was occasionally not letting me crank in Park. It has been in the teens
and twenties all month and it was worth the money to me to not have the
discomfort of changing it out in the driveway. The part was $290.
