A few days ago the accesories fuse (under dash) blew on my 95 YJ.
Since I didn't have time to go buy another fuse, I took the one
labeled Dome/Light (red with a 10 on it) and put it in the accesories
position. Since I don't have a dome light I thought this would have
no ill effect. However, this morning, when trying to start the jeep
for the first time since then, it would not start. After putting the
red fuse back in the Dome/Light position it started right up.
This seems pretty strange but it may help somebody with starting
problems. May need to check that fuse. Anyone heard of this before?
Maybe you just picked the wrong fuse. The "dome light" is actually under
the dash somewhere, and comes on when you open the door, if you have it.

Oh yes, I do have that light. Just seems strange that this fuse would
prevent starting. Might be a good anti-theft measure if you have to
leave the jeep somewhere.

Just checked the FSM. Turns out the red fuse is the ASD and Fuel Pump
Relay fuse and there is no mention of a dome light fuse. That
explains the no start. Strange labels though!
