Dave - 13 Mar 2007 19:24 GMT Today, the first warm day of the year in SE Michigan, I had a wonderful topless drive home for lunch and back.. I forgot how much I love driving my Jeep sans top. It's such a difference from being trapped inside a plastic box all winter.. It feels so open and free. It's a night and day difference, it's almost like a completely different vehicle. There's something to be said about tunes blasting and the wind in your hair .. It's 70 degrees, no clouds, absolutely beautiful!
I'm not sure about the weather in other normally-cold regions, but did anyone else take their rides out for a topless drive today?
Thoth1126@gmail.com - 13 Mar 2007 20:20 GMT Lucky &*^%&^$&# It's 40 here in Montreal. Not quite topless weather....

They overwhelmed the local cops who called for backup from Cincinnati, Woodlawn, Lockland, and the Sheriff's department.
All proclaimed innocence, too bad it was caught on film..

Carl S - 15 Mar 2007 00:01 GMT The Glock only holds 18 bullets, that's almost enough. I suppose I could throw it at the 19th person..

Carl S - 15 Mar 2007 04:30 GMT In all seriousness though, I would never shoot anyone unless they were threatening someone elses or my life, and even then I wouldn't feel good about it. There's no way I could just shoot into a crowd.

I'm still in trouble for calling her a "ride" ... :)
The Merg - 13 Mar 2007 23:16 GMT it's warm enough here, but I need new shocks all the way around. So she's hanging out in the garage for a few more days until my buddy comes up with the discount code for 4wd Hardware.
I did get some work done on the XJ yesterday, so that was nice.

I once drove my YJ 25 miles with no shocks, track bars, or sway bars. It was definately a bouncy ride!

I drove it a couple days to work (15 mi each way) - it was actually a lot of fun, but I just don't want to screw anything up. It's amazing the difference in ride from my old rear shocks which didn't do anything but make the ride ridiculously harsh. Oh yeah, then I had an issue with the front axle disconnect coming unplugged, which connected the axle, which made me think I had seriously messed up my steering system somehow - that was fun. So I'll just wait another week or so for shocks.

However, running w/o shocks may void insurance claims.

It's also just been way too cold as of late, considering I haven't had the full top on since sometime in January.

Hows your new YJ?

I was out working in a t-shirt yesterday. The YJ is getting there, I haven't worked on it much but my dad's out there pretty frequently with it. He did the carb kit, now he's having idle troubles. At first, it was flowing fuel at idle, so he pulled it apart again and it seems to be working more correctly now. I think now we just need to adjust the idle screws and such. It also seems like all the emissions stuff has been disconnected, but it's all still hanging out, cluttering the engine bay. I hope it passes inspection so we can rip it all out (not because I hate the environment, but because it's not doing anything anyway).

I'm sure nobody knows about Maryland specifically, but I'm assuming the nutter bypass should be done post-inspection?
