The Merg - 15 Mar 2007 04:06 GMT Could everyone please start obeying DST? you're screwing up my newsreader - now none of the posts make any sense because they're nowhere close to the correct order.
Order, dammit! Order in the court!

Unless you're using one of those toy computers.
They haven't really made any effort to say, but I assume that this is all part of the "war effort". This site may also be of assistance.

Lon - 20 Mar 2007 03:14 GMT You would think with all of their global warming, someone would figure out that if you keep saving up daylight, sooner or later all that daylight is gonna escape and burn us all to cinders.

Matt Macchiarolo - 21 Mar 2007 02:00 GMT Has anyone noticed with earlier DST switch, in the northern states and on the eastern sides of the time zones it's still dark during the morning commute and a lot the energy we're supposed to be saving in the evening is being used to light everything up in the morning?

Order in the court! L.W. (Bill) Hughes III - 21 Mar 2007 03:53 GMT Yup, going to kill more school children, like when Nixon did away with Day Light Saving altogether. It's the shorter days that use more energy, not what time it is. At least Arizona uses it's common sense. God Bless America, Bill 0|||||||0 mailto:LWHughes3rd@aol.com http://www.billhughes.com/

Earle Horton - 21 Mar 2007 03:59 GMT DST was first enacted by a national government for WWI. This poster shows how it was interpreted in the U.S.

At the time, many people in this country still grew their own food, and contributed to the war effort in that way. Now, it gives us more time to demonstrate against truly idiotic national policies in the early evening, and still have time for a couple hours' debate about it all at the local Starbucks.

"Get Your Hoe Ready" would also have a somewhat different connotation today, too.

The Merg - 15 Mar 2007 07:13 GMT No, did he have like 15 posts in a row on yours too? I assumed it was screwed up because of DST, but I can't see where those threads originated from...

Will Honea - 15 Mar 2007 07:54 GMT I think Jerry B. was catching up on a couple of months worth of messages - the ones he replied to had expired on my server but you could see the original time of the post was some little while ago.

Order in the court! Sort by Thread not by Date. Some posts might still not make any sense but at least they'll be grouped together. Warmer weather in PA and extra light in the pm = new air filter; new bulb in the hood light; and plugs in the XJ.

Jeff Strickland - 15 Mar 2007 18:00 GMT Me thinks it is YOU that is messing up the program. My computer is observing DST, and my posts are in the proper order.

Earle Horton - 16 Mar 2007 04:56 GMT They've been pretty good with Windows 2000. If you like, you can manually change the daylight savings time change dates yourself, if you can find where that information is stored. Heh.
Windows, love it or leave it. You don't have one of those toy computers, do you now?

We have 5 computers here, and they all updated the time properly.
