I determined that my new (TO ME) free motorhome needs a  Chevy-pattern T-400
transmission overhaul last Sat.  I have a spare AMC pattern 400 in the shop.
I called a friend who builds them (last nite, he was on the Rubi all
weekend) and he said he'll build me one in exchange for a Ford truck front
Dana 44. My only spare is a right-side drop 44 from a waggy, so I call
another friend to see if he has one. He says no, but he has  2 Chevy pattern
400s, and will swap one for installing a new harness in one of his
Jeepsters.  Done!
Now all I have to do is con some young guy with a good back to slide under
that motorhome on my dirt driveway.
Real jeep guys can never live in apartments.

Hey, the price is right -- worth a gamble on the install!

It's just that easy, huh? No fighting with servo springs or clips that won't
come out?
I can build one, it's just easier to pay my friend Bob to do it.  I did a
BMW ZF4HP22 a couple of years ago.

Yup just big "O" rings, which like you your windshield wipers give up
with age, or worn out with particles left in the oil too long.
And I've done the '56 Cadillac hydro used in one of my race cars,
originally built by B&M: http://www.billhughes.com/B%26Msticker.jpg Like a
carburetor make sure you don't have any parts left over.
