I am having issues with my Jeep. It is a 98 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 4.0,
6 cylinder.

For some reason the temperature while driving stays between 210 and
215. So far I have replaced the water pump, thermostat, all the hoses
and flushed the system.

Is there anything that I have missed? Thanks in advance for your help.
Have a great day!

Another thing.... What's the condition of the radiator? Make sure it's
clean, not dirty with bugs, etc....

Yup, you have missed the fact that the engine actually runs at 215.

If it wasn't running there, then you have issues.

The coolest thermostat I can buy from the dealer for my 87 is a 190 or
195.

I think the newer Cherokees run slightly hotter by design to make the
emissions stuff run more efficiently.

Your sender or guage may not be perfectly accurate. As long as you are
running with the proper coolent and coolent mixture this sounds
normal.

Do not run the vehicle with pure water or without a thermostat.

If your guage reads 210-215 in heavy traffic with the AC running,
there is no reason to be concerned.
