My wife was talking to a pharmaceutical company rep. at work, and it turned
out his son is graduating from college this spring, with a degree in
"International Relations". The drug company rep. wondered out loud what the
kid was going to do after college with a degree in International Relations.
I figure if you want to be an ambassador then a law degree, a master's
degree or some pull is required. My wife said, "Well he could sell cars."
From the way she described it the fellow acted like she had stabbed him in
the back and twisted the knife.
I don't see what's so bad about that. Heck someone has to sell them, and
this kid could be one of the few honest ones. Besides, the way the
country's going a degree in International Relations couldn't hurt. Around
here if you could say "Wie geht's mit Ihnen heute?" or "¿Quieren ustedes
comprar este Jeep Liberty?" it just might get you a sale.

He could work in a Public Policy role in an organisation. Seems to be a
job where you are paid to read the papers all day...
