sir,
i know you hate diesel engines in light vehicles for fear of pollution.  in
addition to purchasing an '01.5 cummins powered dodge this week (for a work
truck), i also purchased a 2008 cummins powered dodge ram with the 6.7 liter
cummins ( http://concealedcarryforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4298 ).
what i find most interesting about it is that it meets 2010 emmissions
standards.  not only does it pollute less than gasonline engines, but (read
this twice!) the exhaust from this truck is CLEANER than the air that goes
into the intake.  thats right, the EXHAUST going out the tail pipe is
cleaner than the air that goes into the intake thanks to the particulate
filter.

im wondering, with this being FACT (i can post segments of the dodge/cummins
produced video that explains it) how do you now feel about diesels in light
vehicles?

Hey Nathan - since it is a filter that is doing the dirty work of taking
out the nasty black solid particles, do you know if it needs to be
cleaned/changed/emptied/whatever on a regular basis?

(My $0.02: I'd love to see them in more light truck, car, and
hybrid-electric applications, just for the high MPG potential)

the filter burns off the particulate thus regenerating itself.

'Sir'?

That's hilarious!

Not true. Billieboi doesn't give a rodent's rectum about pollution. His
constant railing and whinging about 'greenies' and tree-huggers merely
confirms this. He has no ideals, no desire to make things better or safer
for anyone, or any other normal, decent human compulsions.

His only concern it to be right. Undeniably and Unquestionably Correct.

This is /not/ unusual. It's been the case in many parts of Europe, and has
been proven by laboratory analyses time and again.

It has also been replicated many times under strict laboratory conditions.

Of course, it has to be mentioned that a lot depends on the quality of the
diesel fuel being used.

Twice is never enough. He could read it two thousand times and it wouldn't
make any difference at all.

He has decided what the trvth is, and will never let the facts or any
evidence get in the way.

Billie will:

o not believe you

o claim the facts are wrong

o probably call you a liar

He will feel the same. Once he's decided what is correct, he will NEVER
change his mind under any circumstances.

As I said, he will not consider this to be fact, but more likely to be
some Dodge/Cummins propaganda, and easily ignored.

Good luck.

When Billie /can't/ answer, he ignores.

When he can't fabricate something semi-plausible, he keeps quiet.

If he doesn't like the question posed, he will claim falsehoods.

What he will do though is poast 100 messages di garbaggio to ABPA in anger
and frustration.

Such is life in Billie's tiny world.

But please don't hold your breath waiting for a sensible reply.

Maybe not, but we are all hoping that YOU will hold your breath waiting for
the reply.  ;)

OK, I will.

Where I come from we don't need oxygen.....

(Or Bill's personal methane, either)
