Probably just hung up with excessive 'traffic'. Gosh knows, we bear witness,
daily, to scores of digressional threads here which are NON_JEEP related.
The good old days of useful information and story exchanges seem to have
abandoned us.
Hard to imagine that folks can devote so much time to vengence. Me thinks
they must be neglecting their oil leaks :) I don't come here often at all
any more - and when I do, all I see is someone's 2 bits worth.

You're prolly right.
I have such a huge "Blocked Sender's List" that I don't see most of it, so I
forget that it gets squirrley in here.

Kate, I suspect eternal-spring (or whatever they call themselves) run some
traffic control monitors similar to terranews. If I log on and pull
headers for all groups from teranews and a couple of other servers I use
all at once, I'd better go read the messages from teranews FIRST. If I
wait too long, I seem to get into a long, long wait situation with frequent
timeouts. If I wait long enough - 5 minutes or so - transfers pop right
up. As long as I make a transfer within a couple of minutes all is well
but if I get up to refill the coffee cup and empty the bladder I can count
on the possibility of a lot of waiting to get the next message from
terranews. I don't know about Windows but a lot of non-MS nntp clients just
pull down the necessary headers then only pull the message body for the
specific messages you want to read. BTW, the same delay issues may bite
you on sending as well.
Does that sound like some of your weirdness?

Sure does Will!
I sent one message, it seemed to hang up in my out box, after 24 hours of it
sitting there I deleted it.
Sure as heck, it showed up as a post anyway.
I hate change! I like things to just work and do so in such a was as I don't
have to fiddle with them.
I have my news reader setup to only download the messages I want to read
once I click the header. I like it that way.
Thanks for your insight :-D
