I've seen a few of these in Metro Detroit recently. Interesting. But one good
tree hit and all that fiberglass is going to shatter.
A friend works at D-C Financial, an avid off-roader...he has an '86 XJ
Wagoneer, lifted, 31" tires, a cherry '79 CJ5, and a J20 pickup. Anyway, a
couple years ago the Landrunner reps were there to try to get a factory- or
dealer-installed option deal for their kits. Someone at D-C told them "Man,
these kits would sustain major damage off-road," they replied "No one takes
Jeeps off-road anymore."
Then they were shown my friend's parking space, where the Wagoneer was parked
covered in dried mud.

Reminds me of those ridiculous Slant-Nose Porsche front ends you see on
old VW Beetles sometimes. Stupid there, stupid here.
Oh well.

I always kinda liked the old Rolls Royce or early Ford front
schnozzles that could be installed on Beetles.

Dave Milne did pass the time by typing:
