Sad news... This guy just moved to Michigan and was staying in a hotel. He
said he stayed up till midnight watching it snow up to 3' (and watching his
Rubi in the parking lot). When he got up this morning, the Rubi is gone!
He had about $15,000 dollars of bolt on mods. (wheels, tires, lift, winch,
air ride, etc).
BOL: Red 2003 Rubicon, black soft top, 37" SSR's, thermometric Warn, airbak
pro rock. Last seen in the Dearborn (Detroit) area.
Parts may turn up on ebay.

I'll keep an eye out but sadly it's probably already parted out.

On average, 33,000 cars a year are stolen in Detroit. Barely a million
citizens, about 968,000.
If you do the math, you have a 1:29 chance your car will be stolen.
I'll take my jeep to Greektown with the soft top on, but not anywhere else
in the city. they steal them left and right, especially the Grand Cherokee.
Every time i go to the casino, or Tiger Stadium, I'm almost surprised that
it's still sitting there.
Chrysler products are real popular in metro detroit, since they employ lots
of people around here. Usually everybody in the family buys a Chrysler,
because of the Employee Discount.
The Stratus and Neon are tops for theft. Then the Intrepid, and all the
other cars in that family, especially the 300M.
And lately, the thieves have been hitting the dealer lots and stealing the
20" wheels off of the new Dodge Rams, and dropping the trucks right on the
pavement.
Unfortunately, that Rubicon was probably being chopped up within an hour,
and probably no longer existed by the time he woke up in the morning, or was
already in a shipping container to go overseas. IF he had been carjacked,
they may have found it in time, because the fools that do that usually do it
so they have something to drive. Theft recoveries are usually written off
by the insurance companies, because they get messed up pretty bad by the
clowns that steal them.
