Hi

subject: jeep cherokee 2000.

I'm familiar with using a thermometer to check the output temp of A/C,
what is the recommended temp range I want to see with a temp probe down
in the center vents?  (assuming doors open, blower on high)?

Depends on ambient temp and humidity.

My shop manual for 1997 JGC says:

1000 rpm, doors and windows open, blower on High, recirc & panel, full cool.

Outside temp            70      80       90       100      110

Panel Outlet Temp     27-38    33-44    37-48    43-55    50-64

44 degrees to 50 degrees depending on ambient temp

All the latest AC clinics are saying that if you get 30 Deg less than
ambiant (doors open and AC on fresh air).  I like to see 35-40 with the
doors and windows closed AC on Max (that goes away at about 107 deg and I am
lucky to get 50 by 110)
