This is kinda an educational video. for those of you with front locker
considerations, this is a good example. when he first tried to get up the
hill, both front tires spinning together while "locked" up front caused his
front end to slide sideways. From the looks of it, a little less air in the
tires would also get him up that easier although without a means to air back
up, its not always worth the time.
Movies never show how stuff really looks. I bet that little ridge was a lot
more intimidating looking in person.
Thanks for hosting cool stuff Sandman. I hope you are doing well.

i find the challenge (and the fun) in creeping slowing using finesse
instead. certainly this isnt always an option, but its what i look for
whenever possible.

.....but without the front locker you wont climb that spot at all without a
_lot_ of momentum....certainly more than im comfortable with. i climbed the
same spot, but it took me a few more tries and a slightly different line
thanks to the 4" deficit.

yeah, its pretty tough.....even moreso with the shovel catching.

yeah, wheel speed = broken stuff. Air down I guess is the optimal solution.
Thanks again.

I have no lockers, and tried that line, but you can guess
the outcome....had to move over like 5 feet (left if you are
coming up the garden.) Here's the story in pics, left
digicam at the house that day.

heh, for sure. i spent 45 minutes trying that line in my lifted '00 sahara
http://7slotgrille.com/jeepers/tj/nathan/index.html#00 and despite the lift
and excellent 33s, no locker = no go. im sure i could have done it with
enough momentum, but im a creeper not a mauler. the rubi crawled right up
it, but it took a couple different tries to get the shovel over the ledge.
