93 YJ automatic
Driving on freeway 75 mph for about 30 minutes, pull off freeway and smoke
is puffing from underneath.
Appears to be transmission fluid dripping on muffler and smoking.
Non-freeway driving doesn't seem to cause any leaking?
Tranny fluid is in the 'normal' range.

any thoughts?

thanks
jaco

Can you reach under and take finger to sample the oil drip? If it's
transmission it usually has a red tint to it. More than likely it's the
engine oil leaking from valve cover gasket, combined with a clogged
orifice that works like a Crankcase Positive Venation system valve, that
forces it out at speed. Take a rag and whip between the rear of the
engine head and cowl, if it's wet, that's your problem.
