Hi,

I'm trying to increase my MPG and have decided that the car changes
down to easliy, and would like to adjust the gear change to stay in or
change to a higher gear more often, is this a simple adjustment?

Thanks

What you are planning will actually cause you to use more fuel.  You want to
carefully inspect a set of torque and power curves for your vehicle, and
keep your engine speed at 75-80% of the "power band".  Some people call this
the "economy band".

If you notice when it automatically down shifts, you must ease up
on the accelerator to keep from going faster, that should tell you
something.
