When I was a kid growing up in the '60s I remember a Stainless Steel
Jeep Wagoneer visiting the Butler (PA) Armco plant. I recall it as some
sort of promotional thing between Kaiser Jeep and Armco and it coincided
with the opening of Butler Armco's plant #2, and was somehow tied in
with Butler being the home of the Jeep. I am trying to find any
additional information about it.

Hi Jeff,
I think you have it confused up with John Delorean's car that was
outlawed for sucking up all the white lines from our roads:

Professor Brown originally tried the stainless steel Wagoneer but couldn't
get it up to 88mph...

Sorry Bill,
Wrong decade, wrong bodystyle, wrong make and wrong town.

The Filipinos and Indians seem to make Jeep parts available in stainless.
Do they make Waggy parts?

Are you implying, that it is possible to build, say, a CJ3B using stainless
parts?

I don't know for sure but I wouldn't be surprised.

One thing is for certain.  If there is a big or affluent enough market then
it will be available.
