Question;
does anyone have one of the bug guards on the front of the hood? how did
you install and would you do it again?
Thanks

Greetings,

We do.

With a screwdriver, a small nut driver (10mm I believe) and the plastic
inserts provided with the guard (that we bought directly from Kia).  Took
about 30 minutes because you have to remove the front grill to install two
small supports.

Yes.

2003 Sorento.

Cheers - Jonathan

I have been looking at those for my Spec5. I've seen them online for $45.
The dealer wants $75. I'd guess not much difference in the two except for
price. I will getting one.

Just make sure the one you get is an actual "Kia" accessory.  Kia has made
custom-made these with the hardware and such already up there.

You can buy some after-market ones, but you may have to drill some holes, or
do some other things you may not want to do with your Kia.

While they do cut down on fuel efficiency a little bit, in bug areas
(Minnesota is a great example in the Summer), it is hard to imagine vehicles
without them - the bugs are so thick, especially at night.

Hope this helps.
