I have a 2003 Sorento. I am wondering how many miles this vehicle will last
provided I maintain it properly. I traded a Camry that had 200,000 miles on
it. Can the Sorento compare? Does anyone have any high mileage experience
with the Sorento? Thanks and have a nice day.
SK,
If you still have any warranty left, (depends on country) I'd take the
first offer that you consider reasonable. In the KIA forums, BOTH North
American Distributors and their dealers get a lot of flames. Based on my
experiences with my 2003 and Canadian dealers, they deserve the flaming.
Sell it while you can. I sure would sell mine if KIA would honour the
4000 K left on my warranty.
If you want to see what really satisfied owners have to say, browse the
Hyundai forums. Like night and day.
I'm really pleased with my Sorento but, KIA Canada and their dealers are
just awful. Oh, and BTW, be sure to check out the price of KIA parts.
Shocking. (Fuel pump $500!) And not all common parts are available from
third parties. Nope, I'll never buy another KIA despite how nice the
vehicles are.
BTW, a KIA Sorento is a "hybrid". Hyundai motor with Mitsubishi
technology, Nissan transmission, Borg-Warner transfer case, Eaton
differentials/axles, Delco radio and based on my experiences, "Lucas"
electrics. And one bad apple .....
Yes, the products have come a long way, but, their Distributors and
Dealers and parts pricing hasn't kept up.
Replace my spark plugs, anybody? Timing belt?
