Just got my new OPTIMA. Love it so far. I have a question about the RKE
alarm system. I can't seem to make the alarm work. The manual says to push
the lock button and the lights will blink once then will blink twice when
you release the lock button. Mine blinks once then when I release the button
nothing happens. Any info?

I also thought the manual was a little unclear about the alarm....There is
no beep or anything to indicate that the alarm is active,... but if you open
the trunk, or try to start the motor you'll find that the kill and alarm are
on all right!

Trust me, Its working.  Play around with it. Lock the doors, twice using
the remote (with the windows down) and then open the door through the
window.  The alarm will go off, I actually like the way that the Optima
does not blow the horn when its activated.
