After putting this Sportage together and thinking one of my problems causing a minor cut-out, was a the need for a new fuel filter, I tried to buy one from auto stores. No can do!I did find one for a KIA Sephia 1994, I owned one for 2 years and had excellent luck with it. It sure looked the same for my Sportage!Well, I made a trip to the "dealer" (as in drugs!). They gave me a price of $39 plus some coin. NO WAY! I went back to Schuck's and bought the one for the Sephia---fits perfect--less than 20 bucks, still a rip-off, but better than 39. The 39 dollar one gives you the bracket---big deal. I have 55k on my 2001 Optima and have been thinking I should change the filter. Every once in a while the motor hiccups at highway speeds. The 39 dollar one gives you the bracket---big deal. The Optima Fuel Filter is located under the car on the drivers side. Be prepared to use some mussles to get the old one loose.
