i just purchased a 2000 kia with 67000 miles. only plan to keep it about a
year. i have read some terrible things about kia. if anyone could give me
some info or some insight into getting a better performance from the car i
would appreciate the info.

You need to check the power steering pipe . Our car is under extended
warranty and it just corroded through . the car has not even been off road
and only done 34k. Warranty does not cover corrosion other than bodywork.
Other problem is with the two relays one prevents starting intil several
pulls of the starter. you can swop them if you get a problem. The alloy
wheels corrode badly.

when you get new front pads, change to Titanium pads from Bendix, the
corrosive brake dust will go away. you might also add a dust shield too.
