wheel bearings 2001 sportage

How do you change the front wheel bearings on a 2001 sportage? It's out of
warranty ( too many miles). There doesn't seem to be a lock nut like on most
cars.

2wd models should be just a matter of removing the spindle nut and
then replacing the bearings and races. 4wd models will probably
require a trip to the machine shop to have the old bearings pressed
out and the new ones pressed in. Typically you remove the steering
knuckle and give the new bearing to the machine shop for installation.
