Hello for some reason I cannot understand why I keep having this persistent
problem. The airbag warning light stays lit constantly while driving. So
far I've had the clockspring behind the steering wheel replaced twice and
the airbag itself replaced 3 times. The last time the airbag was replaced
was back in April of this year and now the light is back on! My Sorento
currently has 32K miles. I'm just curious what's making these bags go bad,
the dealers don't seem to have a clue they just keep ordering and replacing
them. Thanks for any information in advance

From what I read over on

It is a wiring problem under the drivers seat. I would contact KIA direct and
get someone to take notice. Being a safety issue you might stand a chance of
getting some real help it solving the problem. Goodluck.

The warning light does not always indicate a problem with the airbag itself.
It could also indicate a problem with either the wiring or one or more
sensors. You should contact Kia directly and get them to take note of this
because it is a safety issue.

Chances are you have a problem with one of your forward seatbelts, have your
garage scan it.

Thanks guys for the good suggestions. I've contacted Kia consumer affairs
and they got in touch with my local dealer. Now Kia wants me to take the
truck back to the local dealer. Will keep you posted...
