Kia SHEPIA 1999-
Idles Rough, Sputters when applying gas pedal like it's not getting any gas,
problems to start the engin all the time,  when going uphill  engine start
loosing  power and I have to change gear to increase rpm.
CEL is on always. I've replaced the fuel filter,  air filter, plugs, wires,
camshaft position sensor, coils , one of these made any difference.

first the codes where
301-304 and also a code saying that the camshaft positioning sensor high
input  (p343)  , after changing parts the p301-p304 desapear,  do you know
what the problem is? any help will be apreiciated!!!
thanks!

OK,  The problem has been fixed.
after checking all the electrical parts (voltage, power in and out , gas
licks, etc) we started checking the timing,  when we looked to see the marks
and check if they were in the right position we realize that it was off ( the
timing belt was changed  last year but there was no problem for 6 months) ,
we then took out all the belts and  checked why it was not in the right
position,   well  the problem came to this:

the key in the chanckshaft  was broken and the crankshaft got loose,  the car
had this problem for about 3 o4 weeks, enought to  waste  a good part of the
crankshaft, there was only  2 options,   replace it  (lots of money) or just
weld the part.
I took the second option,   after welding the part we just align it and put
all the parts toghether again.
the code p0340 ( camshaft positioning sensor )  got away,   the enging
started right away with no problems and the engine runs fine now.
total spend money in parts that did not have nothing to do with the problem:
$220.00
time spended in finding the problem and correct it:
8 hours
a car running with no problems with this winter warning( Omaha March 20 2006)

I will not say priceless,   is just WONDERFUL!!!!
adios!!!
